NanoAvionics, a small satellite mission integrator specializing in modular satellite buses and end-to-end mission solutions, is advancing space mission deployment with a broad portfolio of standardized CubeSat and microsatellite platforms. The company’s flight-proven architectures are designed to enable rapid integration, scalable constellation deployment and reduced time-to-orbit across commercial, research and defense applications.
NanoAvionics’ platform ecosystem includes CubeSat buses in 6U, 8U, 12U, and 16U form factors, alongside microsatellite platforms such as MP42, MP42H and MP42D, supporting missions up to 200+ kg class satellites. All platforms are available in Light, Mid and Max configurations, allowing mission-specific optimization in terms of performance, data rates and pointing accuracy.
The MP42 microsatellite platform supports payloads up to 70 kg with a modular architecture designed for high-throughput communications, Earth observation and research missions. It utilizes ESPA-class separation systems and enables efficient payload integration with minimal reconfiguration, supporting faster mission readiness. The MP42D platform supports payloads up to 100 kg and incorporates optional propulsion systems for orbit synchronization, atmospheric drag compensation, and extended mission lifetimes. The larger payload volume and propulsion capability enable more demanding mission profiles requiring maneuverability and operational flexibility.
In the CubeSat segment, the M6P (6U) nanosatellite bus offers a compact, pre-configured platform with integrated subsystems for rapid deployment in Earth observation, IoT communications, and technology demonstration missions. The platform supports payload power around 17.5 W and enables quick integration through standardized CubeSat structures and onboard systems. For higher payload capacity and advanced applications, the M16P (16U) CubeSat platform incorporates deployable solar panels, precise attitude determination and control systems (ADCS) and modular payload integration. It is optimized for applications such as high-resolution Earth observation, communications and advanced missions including quantum key distribution.
A key technical advantage of NanoAvionics’ platforms lies in their standardized, configurable architecture, enabling reduced lead times starting from approximately seven months, along with lower costs and improved reliability through flight-proven designs. The use of common subsystems across platforms simplifies manufacturing, reduces integration complexity and supports rapid scaling from single missions to large constellations.
Beyond hardware, NanoAvionics provides end-to-end mission support, including payload integration, launch procurement, regulatory support and in-orbit operations through global ground station networks. This integrated approach enables customers to deploy and operate satellites with reduced technical and operational overhead.
