VRSS-1 Satellite Delivered to Venezuela

BEIJING, Mar. 25 (China Space News) — The Venezuelan satellite VRSS-1 was in-orbit delivered to Venezuela officially early in this month, according to China Academy of Space Technology (CAST), a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

The delivery marks China’s first in-orbit delivery of a remote sensing satellite to an international customer.

The satellite was launched on a Long March-2D carrier rocket on Sept. 29, 2012 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in China.
