TCS Wins $6.1 Million U.S. Army Satcom Contract Vehicle

[07-15-10] TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) was awarded an order contract to provide satellite communication and mission analysis shelters to the U.S. Army, the company announced July 14.
    TCS will provide the Army with complete end-to-end managed services, supporting SCMAs with converged (IP-based) voice, video and data satcom for highly secure connectivity between fixed sites and remote operations. The solution also includes TCS’s SwiftLink family of deployable communications solutions.
    The order initially is funded at $1.5 million and has a contract ceiling of $6.1 million if options are fully exercised through August 2011. This award was made under the Army’s $5 billion World-Wide Satellite Systems (WWSS) indefinite delivery/ indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle in support of the Project Manager for the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (PM WIN-T).
