Spacemanic Introduces New Globalstar Transmitter for Nano Satellites

Spacemanic, a small satellite mission integrator, focused on delivering flight-proven innovative, and reliable nanosatellite solutions, platforms, components, and services has introduced a new transmitter module for nanosatellites.

The Globalstar transmitter (Globe-TX) from Spacemanic is a transmitter module that is designed for small-packet data transfer from nano-satellites to Earth over the Globalstar satellite network. It is a plug-and-play design that is compatible with the Spacemanic cubesat standard as well as cubesat components from other vendors.

The transmitter features a robust design that is Cubesat Space Protocol compatible. It has a transmit power of up to 19 dBm and a transmit mode current of 320 mA. The transmitter has an active mode current of 2.3 mA and a sleep mode current of 8 uA. It supports I2C, RS-485, UART, CAN, and GPIO interfaces. The Globe-TX design is based on flight heritage hardware and is successfully vibration and heated vacuum tested.
